Los Straitjackets are one of the most famous surf bands today. They originated
of Nashville, Tennessee, existed since the late 80's and knew combine talent and charisma.
were the first band of surf wear masks as a fighter, which was the brainchild of Danny Amis , guitarist who spent several years in Mexico City (hence a English speaking quite fluent) and this became a fan of Mexican wrestling. So when we formed the band had the idea to give a distinctive touch to their concerts and wrestler masks were an option.
have a long discography including live albums, albums of covers, instrumentals, sung, with songs made for comenciales and even appeared in a movie of low-budget Psycho Beach Party in 2000.
And in 2008 they decided to record a cover of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana . Now an instrumental version. Not exactly the best we have done in his career but this version is fairly unusual.
Originally the song was not included in any album of the band, only sold digitally, but a year later, it was included in a split of the Spinout Records that Los Straitjackets removed with Southern Culture On The Skids .
